English Language Instructor (Part-time position)

We welcome applications from newly-qualified graduates with a Bachelor’s degree in, ELT, TEFL/TESL, TESOL, English Literature*, American Literature*, Translation Studies* who wish to build a career in teaching English to adults in a higher education institution.

* Applicants with degrees from such programmes should hold a valid teaching certificate (TEFL, CELTA, ICELTS, Trinity-TESOL, etc.) obtained from a recognized institution.

Job Description

To instruct language courses at the English Preparatory Programme (or as a part of the Foreign Language Courses unit) as planned by the related unit
To administer, grade, mark and report test results as planned by the Assessment and Evaluation Unit
To provide guidance to learners throughout the academic year
To participate in professional development activities as planned by SFOL

Instructor Induction Programme

An Instructor Induction Programme for all newly-recruited instructors is provided by the Professional Development Unit as a part of the recruitment process before and during the academic year. The programme includes orientation, feedback and guidance for newly recruited instructors.
